Right side of neck aches right two fingers feel numb could that be a pinched nerve?

Yes: A pinched nerve in the neck most commonly causes pain, usually starting in the side/back of the neck and then radiating down the arm. Numbness in the fingers, hand, and forearm can also occur, as well as weakness in the arm. Not all patients have all three symptoms. The pattern of pain, numbness, and weakness can predict which nerve is being pinched. Your c6 nerve is likely involved. ...Read more

Within brain and spinal cord these nerves connect to other nerves via synapses on both axons and dendrites. A nerve can carry information regarding sensations, and ...Read more

Which one is most likely to make only my left side neck, shoulder, arm, hand & leg numb & tingly a pinched nerve in back or neck? I have no pain.

Which one is most likely to make only my left side neck, shoulder, arm, hand & leg numb & tingly a pinched nerve in back or neck? I have no pain.

Nerve impingement: These symptoms most likely arise in your neck/cervical spine. It can also arise from your brain from something like a stroke but this is less likely if the face is not involved. Nerve impingement should not be taken lightly. Any neurologic deficits such as these should be evaluated by a physician promptly. If you develop any functional loss or weakness that would represent an emergency. ...Read more

I've had a pain behind my shoulder blade and a tingly numb pain going down my arm.I know I have a pinched nerve, and elevated cholesterol. Heart attack?

Probably not: At your age a heart attack is generally unlikely especially if you have another explanation for your symptoms (pinched nerve) but either way you should see your doctor to sort it out and maybe a neurologist if it turns out to be nerve pain. ...Read more

Can a pinched nerve in back cause shoulder blade pain and finger twitching, breast pain? Waiting for ultrasound results on breast.

Can a pinched nerve in back cause shoulder blade pain and finger twitching, breast pain? Waiting for ultrasound results on breast.

Not from lumbar spin: No, pinched nerve in your lumbar spine cannot cause those. See what your breast ultrasound shows, and talk with your general surgeon/breast surgeon as to cause of your breast pain. Ensure it is not pain over your left chest as you may need to ensure there is no cardiac cause to this. Scapular pain and finger symptoms could be related to cervical spine pathology. See your doctor for examination. ...Read more
