Does Accutane cure whiteheads? I have tons of whiteheads, 8th day on 10mg/day. It remains the same.
Accutane (isotretinoin) is usually reserved for severe cystic acne. Its use is restricted as it can cause birth defects if taken while pregnant. .
One would probably have to wait longer than 1 1/2 weeks to see effect.(ask your physician).

I have a problem with acne and everytime one pimple goes away another comes. What should I do and not do during the day to prevent this acne problem?
Acne: A common problem, acne can't be 'spot' treated. This is often attempted with otc meds and the popular tv stuff. Get on a good skin care regimen, use mild soaps without additives or fragrances--ie are noncomedogenic--and use bare mineral makeup if you must wear any at all. No alcohol, no peroxide even for oily skin, and no oil based cosmetics. Splash face with cold water before applying makeup. ...Read more

I have 1 question . Can acne be cured? I used Accutane 9 months ago it cleared my big pimples but not whiteheads is this ever going to b cured 1 day
Can outgrow it: Acne isn't 'cured' but can be controlled with medication. Ask your Dermatologist for help with this. Acne can last into your 20s or 30s (occasionally into your 40s) so once you find something that works, don't stop the med once your skin improves (otherwise the pimples come back). ...Read more

Manage them: Acne cannot be cured until it self-cures as you get older. There's no predicting when. I was able to stop treating mine when I was 50. Until then, topical benzoyl peroxide and/or topical retinoic acid are your best friends; about half of acne patients will need to add prescription-strength medication from their physicians. Ignore all "pop" advice about treatments and supposed causes. ...Read more
