Pimple Like Rash On Upper Back
Hi. 30 male. Have non itchy pimple-like rash on chest and upper back. Around 30 of them. Almost 1 year. New ones do appear. Anti-hiv test was negative?
I have tiny bumps on my neck/upper back. They are not filled with pus so are not pimples. Could they be a rash or a skin problem? Sometimes they itch.

Lots of ways: Back pimples are a turn-off for some women and if this is the case, you want to get treated. I have had a great deal of success with topical Clindamycin for patients; my own acne was severe and i spent many years on tetracycline with good results. Failing that, a dermatologist is needed to prescribe accutane. There's no reason that in the 21st century your acne can't be controlled. ...Read more
Don't scrub: Please don't scrub your back! your skin is not a pot, it should not be scrubbed. In the long run that will only make your acne worse. Back skin is second only to the soles of your feet in thickness, so most of the time an oral medication is necessary to control it effectively. Topical medications have very limited efficacy on the back. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have pimples on my upper back. And also i drink less water accoding to what be need . Is that the reason of pimples or what?
Unrelated: Drink as much water as you think you need and trust your body. The fact that you're not drinking so much water as some non-scientist thinks you should isn't causing your acne. Acne over the back usually requires a systemic antibiotic in addition to topical rx, and you may be a candidate for one of the strong rx's by a dermatologist. ...Read more
I have a red bump on my upper back that hurts and never had one before? It looks like a pimple but I have never had a pimple like this. And never had pimples/acne on my back just wondering if it could be a bite or somthing else.
Without : Without examining you, its hard to say for certain what you have, but the red, painful lump you are experiencing could be a boil. Boils usually start out as tender, red areas which become hard and then eventually develop a "head" of white pus. Once this drains, the area usually heals on its own. Most of these are caused by staphylococcus aureas, a common bacteria found on the skin. Occasionally, however, the can be caused by mrsa, the antibiotic resistent kind of staph bacteria. Next time you develop one of these infections, start out by applying warm compresses to the area to help draw the infection out. Then, you should see your doctor so that they can drain it, test for what bacteria is causing it and be able to treat you appropriately - sometimes with antibiotics, sometimes just with drainage. If you ever develop fever, chills, or feel ill with this infection, call your doctor immediately. You can try and prevent these infections by practicing good hygiene and using anti-bacterial soaps. Your doctor may have other suggestions for prevention. ...Read more
Pinky Tiny Pimples-like Rashes on the back of both hands & starts to feel itchy after few hours...spreading to arm slowly...can I take Cetirizine?
You could but..: a better choice might be diphenhydramine (Benadryl) but the cetirizine is less likely to make you drowsy so you can start with that and if it doesn't work try the diphenhydramine. You can also try 1% hydrocortisone cream that you can get at the store on the rash to see if that alleviates the itching and the spread of the rash. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
