Can you tell me some difference, I am a teenager with acne, but I don't know how that could make me get a rash, usually on my arms/wrists?
Likely not related: You can have a zillion other reasons for having a rash on your arms and wrists, nothing at all to do with the fact you have acne elsewhere. If your primary doctor has not been able to diagnose the rash and help you, then I suggest an appointment with a dermatologist so that you can get appropriate treatment. If haven't seen your primary care doctor about it, make appointment there first. ...Read more

Rashes need exam for: Diagnosis. Since it is not itchy or red and located just on the back, it does not sound like allergic reaction or viral exanthema. A common cause of papules on the back is miliaria, or heat rash, which is caused by blocked sweat pores. Alternatively, dry skin can cause blockage of the hair follicle and cause small papules or keratosis pilaris. This is benign, and is commonly seen on upper arms ...Read more

Two year old has pimple like bumps on chin and looks like a light rash on chest and back. No fever, no symptoms. What could it be?
Rash: Difficult to know without seeing it. 1 possibility is that it may be staph or strep on his chin, called impetigo with a more generalized rash that often accompanies it. If this is the case he requires antibiotics to protect particularly his kidneys. Have the rash examined and get a confirmed diagnosis to help with his care. All the best in getting this sorted out. ...Read more

Can a primary HIV rash occure as 3-4 pimples on the back, without fever or other symptoms? Thank you
Probably not: The rash with HIV tends to be red and flat or a bit raised. People have other flu like symptoms as well. Pimples are probably just pimples. If lots more emerge on only one side of the body in a strip this could be shingles. If the same cluster always comes back in the same place, this could be an unusual location for herpes simplex. ...Read more
