Friction burn....: One sign that the boot is not being secured properly is a frictional rash. Too much movement of the leg causes too much friction resulting in a rash. Apply a lotion to the area and readjust the boot, perhaps with added padding. ...Read more

Rash (Definition)

Most bumps and blotches on a newborn baby are harmless and clear up by themselves. By far the most common skin problem in infants is diaper rash. Diaper rash is an irritation of the skin caused by dampness, urine, or feces. Most babies who wear diapers will have some type of diaper rash. Achilles rupture?: Sounds like you may have ruptured your Achilles' tendon . Get examined by an Orthopedist ASAP . At your age if it's ruptured it will need primary repair. Needs splinting, ice elevation immediately . If u can't get in to see anORS have the ER doc get an MRI. Most times a palpable gap can be palpated in the tendon. A + Thompson test is typical.( lack of plantar flexion w/ comp.of calf) . Good Luck! ...Read more

Hard to say: Without seeing it, but I'd advise you to have it checked out since it doesn't belong. If you wanted to try something prior to seeing a doctor I would try a topical OTC steroid cream. I.e 1percent hydrocortisone. ...Read more
