I am 7d late for period. In Sep stopped taking pills and in Oct period lasted 9d. Period normally 5d and 28d cycle, even when stopped last time.

The obvious?: Here is. Could you be pregnant? If YES time for an OTC Pregnancy test...if NO do not be concerned. It sometimes takes several "cycles after stopping BC pills and what happened last time does NOT predict what is happening now!
Hope this is helpful

I stopped taking the pill after 5 years; how long is normal to wait for your first natural period? And when is it a time to take a test if still late?

Varies: Some texts will report that it can take up to a year to have a regular cycle. But, you should have a period (in any capacity) within a few months. If you have absolutely no bleeding/period for more than 2 months after stopping, I would recommend you see your physician. It still may be normal, but I would recommend checking at that point. ...Read more

Irregular menses: As you stopped the pill 3 months ago, by this time, menses would be expected to have become regular, but all patient's bodies are unique. It also is important to be evaluated to investigate if there is something interfering in your menstrual cycle regularity. Please do return to your ob/gyn and get evaluated if this continues next month or if there is unusual bleeding or pain associated. ...Read more

Typically: We can not always predict exactly what I going to happen with Progesterone use. Sometimes it depends on why you are using it. It is not particularly typical to prescribe it days before someone is due to start their cycle. The pills will try and stop your period. Your uterus thinks its time for one. Will it hurt to take the bith control pill without a period?

Absolutely NOT: Despite growing familiarity with so-called "extended cycle" birth control pill regimens, many women still instinctively question whether it is safe to skip periods on the pill. There is no scientific evidence whatsoever of any harmful effects from going months without bleeding. I think this is because many women are taught as girls that the period is nature's way of "cleaning out" the system. ...Read more

I just got a new brand of pills, can I start it right now instead of waiting for my next period?

Not a good idea: Starting new birth control pills in the middle of your menstrual cycle may seriously disrupt your hormone levels and you will have very irregular bleeding. It may also decrease the effectiveness of the pills for birth control. I would recommend following your physician's advice, starting the new pill as you finish the package of your current pills. ...Read more

Is there any pill to start period maybe by Monday or Tuesday? Or maybe stop it until my trips over?

Interesting question: Many women athletes have used relatively high estrogen pills daily during their sport season and essentially stopped menses. A GYN could do this for you. I would wonder if it might cause you more problems than it prevents though? Possible side effects that would be problems include morning sickness feelings when you first start. I would advise my daughters against it. ...Read more

Is their a pill that u take one time to make it period start early and get it the next day or day of?

Is their a pill that u take one time to make it period start early and get it the next day or day of?

Not really: There is no "one time pill" that you can take to do what you want to do. If you are on the birth control pill however, you can alter the way you finish the pack and start the next pack so that your period comes later than expected. You should discuss this with your physician for instructions should you want to delay your cycle because of vacation or other plans. ...Read more
