Spotting10days, missd 1 pill 3rd wk of pack, unprot sex same day missed pill, skpd sugars, strtd new pk, besides missed pill take pill religsly, preg?
Probably not: Missing a pill even if you take it as soon as you remember can cause some spotting. Spotting can also result from skipping the placebos and immediately starting a second pack. Some get away with it but others experience the bleeding. If in doubt, check a pregnancy test and, if it is negative. Repeat it in 3-5 days. If both are negative, you can be sure you are not pregnant. Hope this helps. ...Read more
By definition, "alternative" is different than modern western medicine. Generally any drug, herb, treatment, or procedure that stands up to rigorous scientific scrutiny is included in modern medicine. The problem is that many alternative practices, herbs etc do not stand up to scientific scrutiny and cannot be shown to work. They therefore remain "alternative". Be careful ...Read more
Missed last Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) active pill on Sun. Took a 4day pill free break. Had sex on 3rd break day; took active pill on Thur. Do i need Emergency contraception?
That depends: If a pill break is scheduled to allow for menstruation (just like the inactive pills are meant to do), then you remain protected during that break and do not need to use emergency contraception. If the break was taken mid-cycle (< 3 weeks since your last inactive pill cycle or "pill break") then protection would be diminished, and emergency contraception would reduce the chance of pregnancy. ...Read more

Agree w' Dr Davis: Ask yourself why you are risking pregnancy and the need for another abortion so soon after having had one. You may want to speak with a therapist to address your feelings about abortion, guilt and self punishment in addition to talking with ObGyn about birth control and safe sex. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Abortion done 27june2014,had unprotected sex on 4/7july2014,took ella (ulipristal acetate) pill on 8july.He did not cam inside, could I be pregnant?abit of abdominal & gas2
Had abortion done on27july2014,had unprotected sex on4/7july,but he did not cam inside.I took the ella (ulipristal acetate) pill(120 hours) on 8july, could i be pregant?
Dates not right: You say you had the abortion on July 27 2014 - that date has not even occurred yet. If you mean JUNE 27, and then the rest of the scenario is the same, the answer is yes, you could be pregnant - because you had unprotected sex. You think he didn't ejaculate inside you, but there is no way to know that as lots of sperm are released even just during sex. You really need to find better contraception ...Read more

Took first active pill of gildess fe a day after taking last active pill of generess fe. How long until I am protected on new brand of pill? 7 days?
Now, if taken proper: Starting the first active pill of a new brand of bcps the day after you finish the last active pill of your old brand, known as "continuous use, " is fine to do. You are now and will continue to be protected from unintended pregnancy provided you took your previous brand and take this brand of bcps properly. Why Plan B?: If you were on Loestrin birth control pills then it was not necessary to use Plan B. You were already on birth control pills which prevent pregnancy. The condom use is great to prevent STD transmission. If you think you might be pregnant check then check a home pregnancy test. They are cheap, reliable and available at any pharmacy. ...Read more
Missed my 24th Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) active pill on Sun. Took a 4day pill free break per instruction. Had sex on 3rd break day; took active pill on Thur. Do i need ECP?
Wouldn't think so: A person who takes her birth control pills properly is protected against pregnancy all the time. All the time means every day protection, regardless of which pill she is on. Protection is there, while on the active pills and while on the inactive pills (being on the pill-free break is the same as being on the inactive pills, because inactive pills don't do anything). ...Read more
