Dr pierced earlobe said twist & use alcohol. Generation X pierced cartilage says not 2 twist, use Hydrogen Peroxide/Salt solution. Who do I listen 2?

If it was through the septum then you may have caused a septal hematoma. Both of these problems need immediate attention. Because cartilage does not have a good blood supply and very little repairative capability, any damage can lead to a permanent deformity.
