Pictures Hemorrhoids Women
Tossup: This one is a toss-up. Women are more prone to hemorrhoids because of pregnancy. This causes dilatation of the hemorrhoidal veins. Men who are overweight, drink excessively, or have jobs requiring lots of sitting are prone to hemorrhoids. I've seen the frequency roughly equal in my practice. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Ovarian cysts-7mm via ultrasound, recent irregular vaginal bleeding and constipation/bloating. Cancer possibly with the bleeding? 39 years old, health
Studies have shown that women are more aroused by pictures of nude women than nude men. Is this true?
What studies: There are all sorts iof studies performed by all sorts of people & institutions. My experience woukld dictate that straight women are more aroused by pictures of men than of women. Gays are obviously more aroused by pictures of their own sex. What ever turns you on, turns you on & that is normal for you & not abnormal. ...Read more

Chance that 4 CT scans over 2 1/2 years would all miss sympotomatic colon cancer (narrow stool, occasion blood), also sigmoidscope to 35 cm.
Fairly high risk: CT scans are NOT good tools for looking inside the bowel. Endoscopy is the preferred tool, but a sigmoidoscopy, at its best, misses looking at half the colon. A look to merely 35 cm has missed about 85-90% of the colon. The usual method to evaluate the colon is a complete colonoscopy. ...Read more
I'm 50years old, african descent, no family history of prostate cancer. Psa 4.1 but normal digital rectal exam. Is biopsy recommended? Any risk? Thanks

There is no psa level at which one can absolutely say that prostate cancer is or is not present; only that the higher the psa the greater the probability. Normal/average psa for age 50: ~0.7. Chance of fnding pca on bx with psa 4.1: ~25-35%. Risks of bx: infection, bleeding, pain, urinary retention. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Most do.: Most colorectal cancers arise in adenomatous polyps, which are the type of polyps that are examined for and removed in colonoscopy. Data now shows that removal of colorectal polyps decreases coloretcal cancers as well as the risk of dying from a colorectal cancer. Less frequently, colorectal cancers can be founs that do not arise from polyps. This most often happens in inflammatory bowel disease. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
