I've partial thickness ACL tear along its femoral attachment. I'm 19 years old and a sportsman too i can't run from almost last 3 month. please help
See a specialist: Partial ACL tears do happen but are very uncommon. Often a radiologist will make that diagnosis but does not mean it is correct. See a Sports Orthopedic surgeon who can give you a correct diagnosis based on the MRI and a good exam. Even if it is torn, pain is uncommon with running after 3 months. There may be more going on. ...Read more

43 y/o s/p hyst x 10 yrs. ovaries intact. Severe nighttime sweating. Estrogen level per lab was 904. ???
FSH & TSH levels?: Estrogen levels can be very misleading as estrogen is made in the ovaries, peripheral fat and adrenal glands and unless broken down into its' components of origin can miss the menopause picture. An FSH level can at least give your MD an idea that the ovaries may no longer be responding to produce estrogen in amounts that keep the "hot flashes" at bay. Also make sure your TSH(thyroid) is normal. ...Read more

Are there any long term risks in taking 6g fish oil @60%=4g of omega3?
What for?: Why do you feel the need to take so much fish oil? First of all, you are better off getting your fish oil directly from fish like wild alakan salmon or sardines. Second, high concentrations of fish oil can cause anti coagulation that can make you susceptible to bleeding. Good health will not come from a pill. ...Read more

Can you develop hives suddenly after long term use of daily baby aspirin (15 years). IgE normal. Recurrent hives x 9 months. Skin test/ labs normal. ?
Yes: Sorry to hear you have this very distressing condition. Random onset of hives is quite common and may not have anything to do with the aspirin particularly if there has been no lapse in the aspirin regimen. Labs cannot confirm or rule out aspirin allergy. A careful history taking and timeline is essential. FYI Aspirin / NSAIDS sensitivity (aka AERD) is a different animal. ...Read more

Not very serious: The main problem with sphincter of oddi dysfunction is that it is an annoying pain that is intermittent and gets worse after eating. The treatment includes lifestyle changes (low fat diet), vasodilators like nifedipine, non opioid analgesics. Gastroenterologists can inject botox or make a cut at the sphincter of oddi and that works in more than 70% of the cases. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
