I have a two year old boy im potty training him but he freaks out he doesn't want to take off the diaper?
Too early?: Parents are highly motivated to toilet train their children (less mess, less expense). Unfortunately, toddlers frequently are not ready as soon as the parents would like. Boys in particular are later to be ready for this training. I do not think that your son is ready for toilet training developmentally, and would recommend waiting until he is older. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

That may be normal: Toddlers, can very much be look adults, in that they can have very different bowel habits. Some poop every day, some not so much. What's important is that it isn't too hard and "balled up" that may suggest constipation or super soft/watery that suggests diarrhea. Also you shouldn't be seeing bleeding. My two year old, three month old &i are all sick. I'm not sure yet but I think its strep because we were exposed. We don't have insurance. What do I do?
Call your doctor: It is a good idea to be evaluated. Even though you do not have insurance, there are low cost alternatives, such as clinics at pharmacies. If the children have strep, there is a chance that their condition can progressively worsen and develop into a very serious condition. While healthcare is not free, it is worth the cost for wellness. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My two year old son doesn't want to eat at all. The only food he likes is oatmeal. What should I do?
Texture aversion: Talk to your doc about this. It could be a simple behavioral issue, and he will move on to a different food soon. Techniques of introducing similar foods or making only one food available at a time may be enough. However, if he is really avoiding everything except oatmeal, then a specialist in texture aversion may be needed. Usually a speech therapist with special training can help. ...Read more

Lymph node: There are many lymph nodes in the neck and back of the head that are often more noticeable because they are located where our fat pads don't hide them. If you feel around you should find several the size of a pea & sometimes bigger. They can increase to the size of a big peanut if stimulated by local factors, illness or vaccines. Bananas also are lacking in some nutrients so you wouldn't want to eat bananas exclusively. ...Read more
