Allergy or eczema: This sounds like it is probably due to dyshidrotic eczema. Try to decrease hand washing and use topical Hydrocortisone ointment. Another possibility is contact dermatitis which is an allergy to something you are touching. If not better see your primary care doctor. ...Read more

HFMD: Viral infection usually takes 5-7 days for the rash to start drying up and the pain in throat due to vesicles to go away. Hfmd rash does not leave scars usually. Try to put some calming lotion like calamine so child doesn't scratch the bumps. ...Read more

A qualified yes: If you meant atopic dermatitis then the answer is unusual. If you meant contact dermatitis , then the answer is often yes. I suspect that you might have used neosporin (or equivalent) OTC ointment on the wound site and have developed a contact allergy to one of the ingredients (neomycin). Try topical HC cream and stop the antibiotic ointment. If problem persists , see your doctor. ...Read more
