Podiatrist: The best way to cast for custom orthotics is to make plaster molds of each foot while holding the subtalar joint in neutral position. As far as I know, only podiatrists use this technique. Other techniques include stepping in a foam box and stepping on a computer screen but these do no correct for abnormalities in biomechanics. Why do people may get prescribed many physiatrics drugs before finding the best treatment? Because no apparent way of measuring neurotransmitters?

Controversial.: Many do not believe in testing of neurotransmitters. Not sure what to think myself some days. That said, I measure nts in the urine all the time. Those measures combined with salva specimen for adrenal and sex hormones as well as blood for the usual suspects including thyroid give me good info that I use to understand symptoms and guide treatment.
