Not Likely: Having a low phosphate level can be a sign of low vitamin d needed for absorption and or magnesium you might want to check those. Also you might want to look at your diet and see if it is low in phosphorus - alcohol use can cause you to lose phosphorus. Kidney dysfunction may also be a cause but I'm not sure that is the case with you. Symptoms of low phosphate will not occur until you get to 1.0. ...Read more
