Phelgm in throat: You are young for throat cancer unless you chewed a lot of betel nuts. More likely you have sinusitis, allergies with phelgm could try Zyrtec (cetirizine) and see if it helps . May be indolent infection/ sinusitis like mycoplasma for whihc you need antibiotics .Since it is 3 weeks would get it checked out by urgent care/ doctor this week. ...Read more

Not likely : These symptoms are more indicative of infection (either viral or bacterial). Generally treatment would start out with acid avoidance (citrus, tomatoes, peppermint, coffee, peppermint, etc) Acid irritating the throat frequently results in increased mucous and prompts throat clearing. The feeling of a lump in your throat can be related to acid reflux or muscle hyperactivity of the opening of the esophagus; sometimes related to anxiety.
