Depends: You don't say what thyroid medication you are on. If you are taking thyroid hormone, thyroid should be taken on an empty stomach, and wait at least 40 min before eating. Robitussin (guaifenesin) peak has a mild stimulant in it. Depends: If you just lost your ability to smell/taste in the past day or so, use oxymetazoline (afrin) 1 spray each nostril 3x a day followed 10 minutes later by using nasal saline irrigations (sinus rinse or neti poti). Only use the afrin for up to 3 days, saline can be used indefinitely. If your sense of smell is not back in the next 3 days, get checked out. ...Read more
