Is it safe to take Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) and workout whilst using nitric oxide supplements ?
No: I wouldn't think it's safe to take Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) during workouts. Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is an amphetamine which can function like adrenalin. Your blood pressure and heart rate could go up too high. Probably even dangerously high, depending on the dose, potentially causing a stroke or heart attack. Why risk it? ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
27y/o f narcolepsy/sle/anxiety/add benzodiazepines paradoxically increase anxiety any suggestions for nonbenzo anxiolytic? Pt takes Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) and apri.
Tough question: Switch to another psychostimulant or reduce the dose to start. Sometimes selective beta blockers can be added (naldolol, metoprolol). Low dose trazadone can be added (low antichiolinergic profile) it has some anxiolyt. I suggest making only one change at a time if possible. Buspar (buspirone) can be tried but BP has to be watched. I'm assuming the diagnosis of narcolepsy and add have been carefully worked up. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Together to fight my cold? Basically is that combo safe
Yes, any "D" drug : The "d" in claritin-d, or Mucinex (guaifenesin) - d and others, all stand for decongestant. Decongestants are medications that stimulate the adrenaline system and can cause higher blood pressure and heart rate. While not bad for short time, may cause problems if used chronically. Check with your dr. If you have high blood pressure or heart rhythm problems before using these medications. ...Read more
Is an OTC product for sleep of 3g glycine, 0.3g theanine and 2g magnesium lactate safe to take chronically? Add to this 1.5mg klonopin (clonazepam).
Not sure: I am not sure if it is helpful but some clinicians would argue that creatine can cause elevation or at least changes in mood and combining that with more psychoactive substances could lead to unpredictable results. I would talk to your prescribing doctor about your plans and see if there is an agreement that creatine is going to work well for your condition based on your history. Stay safe! ...Read more

69-y Parkinson male. Took(Piribedil Sustained-release Tablets;Levodopa and Benserazide )for 9 yrs.Recently drug-resistant(cant lift legs),suggestions?
Please repost: Your dad maybe? Piribedil & bensazeride are not available in the US. Where does 69 live? In US or abroad? If he lives here, will he continue to make his US neurologist's life more diffcult by insisting on using foreign drugs? If he lives abroad, getting advice from a US neurologist is pointless if the US & foreign drugs aren't the same. You need to clarify. ...Read more

Decongestant- phenylephrine. Bp med - inderal. Antidepressants- Zoloft and wellbutrin (bupropion). And synthroid. I had asked the ? About decongestant dosage
Decongestant: We need all the pertinent info together in one question since these questions do not appear sequentially. There are several drug interactions among the current meds. Decongestants interact with BP meds like Inderal (propranolol) & lessen their effect, resulting (possibly) in higher blood pressure. Your pcp can determine what dose will least effect BP & still produce the desired decongesting effect. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Possibly: "false positive testing" occurs when a test finds evidence of illegal drug use when no drugs were taken. This can be a result of some over-the counter medications having chemical structures similar to illegal drugs.
