Is it safe to take 2 overactive bladder medications Detrol (tolterodine) LA 4mg with Oxybutynin Er 10 mg...
Not a good idea: They are the same class of medicine (antocholinergic) and both work in pretty much the same way, by reducing spasm of the muscle that contracts to push urine out of the bladder. Taken in excess they can actually cause incontenence by paralysis of that muscle (overflow incontenence). If the meds are not working you should see a urologist. You can have systemic side effects with too much meds. ...Read more
I hv sliding hiatus hernia with gerd, esophagitis la grade b, duodanitis. I don't have any symptom now like heartburn etc. Does it mean, medication NT rqr?
Stay on meds: I would use anti-acid producing medication until you know the damage to your esophagus heals. This means another endoscopy. If the esophagitis comes back after healing and stopping meds, may need to consider an anti-reflux procedure which could be done endoscopically or surgically. Hope this helps, and you have a merry christmas! ...Read more
Actually I am now on la ritalin and its worse than short acting. No improvement after a month. I've had general and social anxiety since I was 12 (it comes and goes) and no anxiety, depression medication nor behavioral therapy ever helped.
I have been diagnosed with adhd. Used Ritalin la 40 for many years but hate the side effects. Recently started using mentat and it has been helping. Will concerta be better? Is there any medication to eliminate the side effects of these stimulants
WHAT SIDE EFFECTS?: I am not sure what side effects you mean. Ritalin LA and Metadate and Concerta are all similar methylphenidate products. The longer acting ones tend to have fewer side effects and sometime to can mitigate the issue by eating first. If this does not work discuss with your doctor about the side effects and perhaps switch to something different. ...Read more
Hi doctors, was just wondering what is another prescription medication, for urinary incontinence, that would do the same thing as detrol (tolterodine) la?
My doctor diagnosed me with scabies. She told me to go buy Rid lice treatment. But if it didn't work to fill a script she gave. They were oral medication I took for only 7 days. I done one treatment, took all 7 pills then done another Rid treatment. My la
Very confusing: Rid is not a treatment for scabies. You fail to note the name of the pills or the name of the "prescription." Sounds like you need a better DR. If you really have scabies, ivermectin pills are a single dose with one more dose 2 weeks later. Permethrin cream is used once all over the skin, then repeated in 1 or 2 weeks. All contacts are treated, even if not itchy. From first treatment to absence of ...Read more
Not effective: Medications start losing effectiveness once they expire. It is just like food which starys to degrade or spoil after the expiration date. It is a good idea only to take meds before the expiration date. Hope this helps! ...Read more
