Six Weeks: Although it is unlikely that you would have picked up HIV from what you have described, it takes about six weeks at the earliest for tests to determine if you picked up HIV from that exposure. If I drink cold water or in cold weather it causes pharyngitis how to improve my immunity?

Never heard of it.: Never heard of cold water causing pharyngitis. However you may try drinking it slower and see if the problem still continues. As for cold weather, I can only theorize that this can happen if you breathe through your mouth instead of your nose. If your nose is obstructed, reducing the nasal blockage may allow you to breathe through your nose. ...Read more

Hiv (human immunodeficiency virus) is a completely separate virus and unless you have aids, then unlikely to be related at all to your viral pharyngitis. If you're at all worried about hiv, though, get a test to be sure, it's better than wondering, and responsible to do. Drink lots fluids, get lots of rest and get tested. ...Read more

Can drinking lots of fluids prevent kidney disease after strep throat infection, but treated early with antibiotic, though..Thanks doctor..!?
