Ph In My Urine
I had a routioe urinalysis and the pH of my urine is 7.0. What does this mean? Is it abnormal? Please explain. Thank you.
Urine is the product of the kidneys, which is produced to eliminate the waste products of metabolism, manage body fluid balance, &maintain acid-base balance. The blood is first filtered by the kidneys, and the composition of the resulting fluid is then altered depending on the body's needs. It is composed of mostly water, and breakdown products from blood cells impart ...Read more

I think I have acidosis. I have all the signs an symptoms. Ph tested my stool, urine, saliva an all were abnormal. Could this be signs of damaged kidneys?
Kidney failure?: The best way to assess your kidney function is with a simple blood test that will give you your serum creatinine level as well as your co2, potassium and BUN levels. If these are normal, you do not have an acidosis and no kidney disease. If they are not, see a nephrologist to assess your kidney function. Good luck. ...Read more
I have a ph of 9 in my urine. Positive for nitrite and a specific gravity of 1.005. My urine smells awful but no burning sensation on passing it?
Be checked...: Being (+) in nitrite in foul smelly urine suggested having asymptomatic UTI with gram (-) bacilli in urine. Urine Sp Gr of 1.005 indicates diluted urine from high water intake or poor kidney concentrating ability. Yet, you should be checked systemically as described in http://formefirst. Com/eNewsletter06.html & in UTI & Voiding Trouble in http://formefirst. Com/UTI. Html and its related subjects... ...Read more
Hello! I'm 19 years old and my pH in urine is high (8). My doctor said something about having sand like particles in my urine. What is this called?
Hi am green juicing 3 times a day. Only have fish meals 3 times a day as I have candida leaky gut. While I been juicing my ph urine is 8.4 is this safe?
Need second opinion: Your diet is unusual and leaky gut is a very rare condition. The diagnosis of candidiasis has had no scientific support and can be given to someone who has been treated with any type of antibiotic even years ago. Your urine is too alkaline and will likely lead to infection if not kidney stones. I urge you to see a traditional doctor ASAP before any further damages to health and wallet. ...Read more
Had Kidney cancer 7 years ago, should I be worried about my ph urine to be +8.5 and over 30+ protein? Feel urgency to go to the bathroom. No infection
When you say your: protein is 30+ I am assuming you meant your UACR, urine albumin-to-creatiine ratio. This value and the higher pH can be associated with a degree of kidney failure. This would not necessarily be expected after cancer. The urgency symptom is very suggestive of infection or inflammation, so I don't know how you can be sure about that. This needs evaluation of all parameters. See your Doc ASAP:) ...Read more

Gobledegook: So called ph balance in urine is quackery, advocated by some fringe medical practioners to promote an unproven fpseudo scientific practice. Your diet affects acidity or alkalinity (ph) of your urine. Certainly urinary ph can affect kidney stone formation in stone prone subjects, & some bacteria thrive better in urine of a certain ph. But changing diet alters the ph not the 'ph balance. Ask your dr. ...Read more

Urine test = sp gravity = 1.005 low, pH = 8 high. What does that mean? Other all values r normal or nil.
Electrolyte, acid: Sp gr means the concentration of urine. When the flud intake is adequate, sp gr can be low as 1.005.If the fluid intake is less, the sp gr can be high as1.030. Ph depends on amount of acids excreted by the kidney. Both these measures reflect the electrolyte and acid handling by the kidney. ...Read more
