How long should I wait to go to the doctor with a persistent dry cough, sore throat, and low grade fever? It's been about a week.

Possibilities....: do you have a fever? Your symptoms sound like you may have acute bronchitis or even pneumonia. It could be viral or bacterial (bacterial more likely with fever!).
