After treating scabies with first dose of permethrin is it ok to still be itchy? Especially at night? Granted it's not as bad as before.
Still quite itchy 1 week after 2nd dose of permethrin. Should I see doc now or wait a bit longer? Itch does seem to be less than before 1st treatment.

Elimite (permethrin): Hello Vaidehibi. If you are taking Elimite (permethrin) for scabies, it starts to work with that one time application but may require a second application one week later. Also, it can take 2-3 weeks for the bumps and itching to resolve. Over the counter anti-itch creams used as directed can help in the mean time.
