The only way to know if someone had implantation bleeding or just irregular menstrual bleeding is to wait and see if you are pregnant. If your test is positive then this was implantation bleeding. Pregnancy test?: Its been over 6 weeks without a period. If you have been having unprotected intercourse, its possible you are pregnant. Moreover, heavy bleeding post Mirena at any age raises the question of abnormal endometrial proliferation. It would be a good idea for your GYN MD to take an endometrial sampling (biopsy) to rule out endometrial hyperplasia which can lead to endometrial/uterine cancer. ...Read more
