Period Lighter Shorter
Im 29, dont want baby now, want it in the future. My amh is 1.86, folllicle cnt 12. My period's lighter, shorter than before for months. Should i worry?
Okay for now: I'm not worried about your period being lighter/shorter. Your AMH and follicle count are what matter when it comes to your egg reserve. AMH of 1.86 is good but not great. If you're going to continue to delay childbearing then I would repeat the AMH level in one year. AMH of 1 or less is worrisome. If 1 or less then you should start actively trying to conceive. ...Read more

Cycle changes: menstrual cycles can vary with age, time, hormonal fluctuations and medical issues. I suggest keeping a mensrual diary marking the start and stop of your cycle, spotting or cramping. My period is lighter and shorter than usual , I haven't had any other weird thing going on can my body be changing or is it something else?
Cycle variation: What you experience may just represent normal variation of the strength and length of your cycle, it's just that it hasn't happened to you before. There could be a permanent change in your cycle pattern going on, too. But if this is all there is, no reason to worry. ...Read more
I just finished my period 4 days ago..why are my areola's bigger and veiny? My period was lighter and shorter (2-4 days) and spotty. Help!?!
Possible: If your period was abnormal and you have been having unprotected intercourse, pregnancy is a possibility. To know for sure, do a pregnancy test and repeat it in 3-5 days if it is negative. If it is still negative, pregnancy is not the cause of your breast changes and it is unlikely that breast cancer would cause bilateral changes. Hope this helps. ...Read more
Period shorter & lighter this month. Negative pregnancy test; no unprotected sex. Came on time, but just different. Could i still be pregnant?
Unlikely: You may do a home pregnancy test and if it is negative repeat it in 7-10 days. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD. Is it possible to be pregnant even if urine tests at home and in the doctor's office do not detect hcg? I had an abnormal period (shorter, lighter, stopping and starting) at the end of march, and since it began have been dizzy, nauseated, and bloated. Al
Hello. : Hello. Often a physician orders a serum pregnancy test (blood). This can not only detect pregnancy but can also detect the amount of HCG in the blood (if is a quantitative test). A pregnancy test can fail to show positive if their isn't a high enough HCG level to trigger it. Standard home pregnancy tests are done at the time the woman misses her period or thereafter. There are also early home pregnancy tests which can be done sooner. However, if a week has passed since the possible missed period, and the pregnancy test still shows a negative, that is likely to be accurate. ...Read more
