52, still have monthly periods but this month got it may 8 and again on may 20, also last few months period lasting a bit longer, menopause or concern?

Probably menopause: But, having an exam to be sure is not foolish. Also you might talk about what to expect and what to be concerned about and options for HRT, diet, etc. To make these years as pleasant as possible. Irregularities (changes) are often a sign of 'the change' and most expect less - not more - from their periods, but change is change. Best wishes! ...Read more

When could you say you where through menopause? After not having a period for a full 12 months? Or is it longer?

When could you say you where through menopause? After not having a period for a full 12 months? Or is it longer?

Pretty much yes: Usually you start the perimenopause with missing every other period and then you might not have a period for a few months and then suddenly spot but if it's already been 12 months and no period, you're probably menopausal. However, if you're only 45 years, you are a bit young to go into menopause and might want to see your doctor for a hormonal check to confirm. ...Read more

I have had a IUD just put in a month ago. This period I am on has lasted longer than a week. And not my normal should I be worried?

Possibly: What iud are you on? Mirena (levonorgestrel)? If so, it can cause what you have. Periods can be longer than expected, irregular, breakthrough bleeding. Wait another one or two and see what it does. If same thing happens, then you will get to decide whether you want to keep it or find something else. ...Read more

Should my 12 months old child wear sunblock as long as he is not indoors or only when he will be outdoor for a prolonged period of time?

Should my 12 months old child wear sunblock as long as he is not indoors or only when he will be outdoor for a prolonged period of time?

When outdoors: The uv radiation is strongest from about 10am to 4pm so he should have protection if he is going to be outside playing. I'm not sure how you define "prolonged" but the harmful effects of the sun don't take long, depending on skin type. Appropriate clothing or playing in shaded areas are other ways to minimize exposure. ...Read more

How long after stopping bc will my cycle regulate? Stopped bc late october. Had last period nov 24th. None this month yet. Cause for concern?

Cycle: I wouldn't worry at this point. It may take several months to determine what your new cycle will be like off birth control pills. Continue to monitor your cycles like you are doing. The birth control hormones are all out of your body at this point. If no period in a week, I would recommend you check a pregnancy test if you have been sexually active this cycle. ...Read more

Is it ok to lift weight only for a long period of time without some cardio? I did cardio like two times per month. I ripped and body fat less than 10%

Is it ok to lift weight only for a long period of time without some cardio? I did cardio like two times per month. I ripped and body fat less than 10%

Yes: There's white muscle and dark muscle. Don't believe crossfit. All the actual doctors/researchers/experts have shown that if you do both with a muscle group, you don't get either the best endurance nor the best bulking up. So, for bulking, 80-90% of max capacity, done maximally, wait 10-20 seconds repeat once.
Cardio could be all lower body, but has to be 3 times a WEEK minimum. ...Read more
