See doc.: Could be perimenopausal bleeding, but you require a uterine ultrasound to identify the source of bleeding.

Irregular priods: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. STDs, polyps, fibroids and hormonal changes can cause spotting. Its not likely to be menopause since you are not skipping periods There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle.

I: I am sorry that you are going through all of that. The average pre-menopause and menopause last anywhere from 2-6 years depending on the patient. I am not sure of your age. The average age of period cessation for women is 53-54. As yours has been going on for so long, seeing a gynecologist to discuss your symptoms and possible treatment would be a reasonable consideration. In addition, other causes of hair thinning, such as hypothyroidism, should be ruled out, though certainly hair does thin for some women through menopause.

Why do I have a pieriod every two week could I be on the menopause has im 44 years of age?

Why do I have a pieriod every two week could I be on the menopause has im 44 years of age?

See your doctor: It is not normal to have a period every two weeks. There are many potential causes of this, both minor and quite serious. Please see your doctor for a full evaluation, which really should include a biopsy of the lining of your uterus. Make sure you have had a recent pap smear as well. I recommend testing hpv status for women over the age of 30 along with the pap.

46 yrs. Starting having period every 2 weeks off and on for last year. Doc did pap smear, thyroid chk & ultrasound. All normal. Am I in pre-menopause?

Yes, very likely: Women start getting into Menopause between 45-50 years of age. Due to diminishing estrogen s (female hormones) the periods become irregular and may have decreased or even increase in blood flow. So I would not worry. But let your gynecologist guide you as she may recommend an endometrial biopsy or D&C to make sure that your uterus lining is healthy and free of cancer.

I am having a period two times a month, is this related to menopause?

Unlikely: The average age of menopause in the us is around 52 y/o. Two periods every 30 days is not normal in a 32 y/o woman. See your doctor for evaluation.

Having mild period after two years of menopause. Why is this happening?

Depends.: At such a young age, you may not actually be in menopause. If you are in menopause, then endometrial thickening and uterine cancer need to be ruled out. Definitely go see your gyn.

Hi Good day, I period last for only two days at the age of 40 years could I going through menopause?

Hi Good day, I period last for only two days at the age of 40 years could I going through menopause?

Small possibility: Single short period is not likely to be a sign of menopause. Menopause usually occurs around the age of 50 but can occur earlier. Usually the periods will occur irregularly for several months, may be heavier than normal or last longer than normal. Track your periods accurately. If the changes persist see your physician.

I: I agree with your concern, and you need to have a complete gynecological evaluation. Please be sure your pap smear is up to date. You may need a blood test to be sure you aren't anemic from the bleeding. You may need an endometrial biopsy (test of the lining of the uterus). An examination or an ultrasound may be necessary to determine if you have fibroids of the uterus (noncancerous growths that frequently cause bleeding). Your bleeding could be from peri-menopause, but you need a complete evaluation because of the prolonged bleeding.

I'm 50 but get my period still on time every month, I'm really thinking I'm having menopause symptoms. Can that be possible?

I'm 50 but get my period still on time every month, I'm really thinking I'm having menopause symptoms. Can that be possible?

Absolutely: Most of my practice centers on menopausal symptoms that occur many years prior to the absence of menstrual periods. Ovarian dysfunction leads to these symptoms and is the reason that women are less fertile after 35-40 years of age. Hormonal imbalance occurs many years prior to the cessation of menstrual periods.

I'm menopausal but every year or so I get a period. Just one then none for about a year maybe 2 can this be hormonal or stress?

See your Gyn...: Bleeding in menopause is frequently from fluctuations in hormones. If you are on hormone replacement, missing pills can cause it. However, you can't assume this is the case. If you are experiencing post-menopausal bleeding, you need to be evaluated by an Ob/Gyn. One of the causes of this is uterine cancer and you need to make sure you don't have that. Best wishes!

Past 6 months, getting my period closer together, like every 20 days or so. I am 52. is this the start of menopause or should I be concerned.

Peri menopause: Sounds like this could be the beginning of menopause which typically begins with irregularities in bleeding.

I am 51, 14 mos. No period. Bleeding again. Why? I now am bleeding heavy for last two days. Is this normal? Will my body have to go through all the symptoms of menopause again?

Rule out cancer.: Once you are in menopause, unless you are taking hormones to restart your period, you shouldn't have any bleeding. You need to go to your gynecologist and make sure you don't have uterine cancer. Most likely though it is build up of uterine lining.

My mom is 43 years old and she has miss her period for two months. Can it be menopause?

My mom is 43 years old and she has miss her period for two months. Can it be menopause?

Maybe: Average age at which women undergo menopause is 51yo. During the few years or so prior to menopause, what we refer to as perimenopause, women may experience hot flashes & night sweats (power surges!) and irregular menses. Hot flashes & night sweats can be treated w/hormones if they're bad enough but it's not w/o controversy. Menopause is declared after no menses for a year but symptoms may continu.

I have HPV and my period stop for two to three months im 38 can that be due to early menopause?

I have HPV and my period stop for two to three months im 38 can that be due to early menopause?

Amenorrhea: Menopause can occur at any age after age 35 and still be normal. However, there are lots of causes for skipped periods and most of them aren't menopause. Its not uncommon to not ovulate regularly and have this happen. See your GYN. Also the HPV has nothing to do with the lack of period

Bleeding: At age 45 you MUST see your Gynecologist as soon as you can! It could be "normal" but could be the opposite! Don't be too concerned - your Gynecologist will take good care for you!
