Break thru bleeding: Probably breakthrough bleeding.
This is not uncommon with progestin only methods of birth control. This usually can be treated with a low dose of estrogen for a few weeks. Check with your doctor to see if that would be appropriate in your case. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Yes: Since you had your contraceptive implant removed so that you can try to conceive, now's a good time to start practicing! More importantly, have fun! Do check in w/your Family Doc & OB to be sure that you're as healthy as possible. Stop drinking any alcohol and start taking Folic Acid. Eat healthy foods, exercise regularly, and get plenty of rest (or as much as baby #1 will allow). ...Read more

Common problem….: A common "problem" with implantable contraception is prolonged or and/or irregular (or both) bleeding, usually light. A contributing factor is that the implants are Progesterone only. This can often be dealt with by taking supplemental estrogen. It can often improve with time.
