Periods after baby: Tubal ligations do not affect periods. Sometimes periods take a while to get back to normal the first few months after having a baby. This is especially true if you are breastfeeding. Consider tracking your cycles over the next few months to see if things normalize. If not then you can see you Obgyn. ...Read more

Hormonal fluctuation: Can throw off your schedule, and that can be related to stress or infection, or thyroid dysfunction. Some women your age will start to see some irregularity as menopause approaches. It is unlikely that you are pregnant after your tubal, but it does happen, and a test would reassure you about that. Give it a few months and then discuss with your doctor if still a problem. ...Read more

Not due to tubal: I don't believe your tubal ligation has much to due with your irregular menses at this point, nothing to really be worried about as long as it was done correctly. Your gyenacologist could put you on some hormone therapy to regulate your nenses so that they are more predictable! ...Read more

What to do if I had my 3rd csection 5 months ago and now my periods hurt more then ever. Could I have a tubal infection?
Not certain, but tubal infections usually do not manifest in the way you describe. The pain should be constant not only during menses and there should be fever and generalized signs of infection.
There may be adhesions/scar tissue or changes to your uterus since it's had 3 cuts into it.
You may want to discuss with your Obgyn strategies for hormone control to pause menses ...Read more

Hi. I had a tubal with last csection 6 months ago. Normal periods until now. 4 days late, fluttering in lower abdomen, tender breasts. Should I tst?
Yes: When a woman gets a period after cesarean has a few factors to consider. Breastfeeding? Breastfeeding can stop normal menstruation, thus a woman may not have a period the entire time she's breastfeeding. If not, then period may come as soon as 6 weeks after cesarean, but could definitely take longer even without breastfeeding. You'll release egg prior to menses, so use birth control if worried. ...Read more

Probably: As your body and its hormones adjust to the non-pregnant state, your menstrual flow will gradually return to its usual pattern. You may notice a difference in its timing, heaviness, discomfort, color as this adjustment occurs. If your menses doesn't become more normal or if you are having persistent and significant bleeding or pain or other concerns, may want to contact your ob. Good luck. ...Read more
