Difficult to tell: Your question was cut off, but your spotting on 8/14 may have been a period. If you are trying for pregnancy, there's no harm in unprotected sex. Imagine: No. It is not possible. Imagine for a moment that a new fetus smaller than the tip of a pin trying to live and survive in blood in the uterus and then the blood sloughs off in a period. Vaginal bleeding: There are a number of women that will continue to have menstrual flow during first trimester of pregnancy. The bleeding in itself is not unheard of. Can be normal: I would have to get more history to answer your question, and you age, menstural history etc., if you are saying you had 5 NEG pregnancy tests and you are still late and this is new for you, than you can wait, some times stress, medications etc can cause a person to have delayed period. If you're pregnant and you pass the pregnancy (embryo/fetus with the uterine lining) then that's a miscarriage. If you're not pregnant and you pass the uterine lining then it's a period.
