Perimenopause Heavy Bleeding
I'm 32, been heavily bleeding with blood clots larger than a quarter for almost a month now. I'm weak and dizzy.is Perimenopause or do I go to er?
Maybe: Periods can go off of your normal cycle, this is most likely why you are experiencing heavy flow. You may have another irregular period before you go back to normal. If you are having more pain than a regular period or if your bleeding does not stop in a normal time please see your gynecologist. You may want to see your OB/GYN if you are dizzy every time you stand up. ...Read more

Sound like going: toward the menopause by having anovulatory cycles cauing thickening of the endometrium followed by heavy periods . Have your hormone level checked such as FSH level to see where you stand in terms of going to menopause. Your gyn can help you to make your periods uneventful. This in turn can affect bleeding patterns. Bleeding can be closer together, farther apart, heavier or even lighter. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Spotting on and off and then bleeding for several months with flow never absent for more than 2 weeks. Perimenopause right? Could it be anything else?
I am 48. Irregular bleeding for 2014. Exam normal 9-14. Just perimenopause? Off pill 11-13-6-14 per md. Md put me back on 7-14 till now. What to do?
Probably perimenopau: At 48 the most likely cause is the perimenopause. Low dose birth control pills are certainly one way to manage this as is cyclic progestational therapy, or even endometrial ablation or a Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD. The choice depends on you and your particular risk factors and type of bleeding (heavy, light, prolonged, or just unpredictable). Hope this helps. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
