Been on 20 MG OxyContin every 12 hrs, Percocet 10 MG every 6 hrs since April. If I took 4 Percocets in 1 hr of eachother, could I overdose?! Accident.
Be careful: With your baseline opioid regimen, the shortened dosing interval is unlikely to create significant problems beyond possibly some sedation, nausea and constipation - though everyone's different and have a low threshold to contact your doc. You also need to watch the amount of Tylenol (acetaminophen) you are taking as you really want to avoid consuming more than 3 grams/day (basically what's found in 9 Percocets). ...Read more

Is 2275mg of acetaminophen enough to overdose? A friend of mine texted me about taking 7 5/325 Percocet and I'm scared for him.
Generally not: But depends on whether it was combined with alcohol or not. The toxic dose of acetaminophen is usually in the range of 7000-10, 000 mg, but almost any amount of alcohol can cause smaller amounts to be toxic. If your friend values your opinion, and understands that you are concerned about him, see if you can get him to see a counselor regarding his drug use BEFORE there is a worse problem. ...Read more
Which has a higher risk of fatality? Accidental overdose of MS contin (morphine) sr 30mg or percocet 10mg?
Neither: At the stated levels, fatality would be unusual with either drug alone if the individual had no other medical issues. Unfortunately, most overdoses occur with multiple other drugs such as the benzos like xanax (alprazolam) or valium combined with alcohol. These combination are frequently implicated in fatal overdoses. ...Read more
I've overdosed on Tylenol in the past years ago could I ever take Tylenol again? Such as a Percocet for pain or a Tylenol with codeine? Dentist apt.
Took a benadryl (diphenhydramine) and 1 percocet of 10/325 together. I'm dizzy & sleepy and I just threw up. I had another percocet about 5hrs before that is it overdose?
Hard to tell: The dose of Percocet is fairly small, so doubt that it is an overdoses as much as the typical nausea which can accompany opioid uses. The mixing of Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and Percocet can be lethal though, and should never be done! Perhaps the elevated dose of the principal metabolite, oxymorphone, twice a strong as oxycodone was the culprit. ...Read more
Half of the Percocet can be out of your body in about 4-5 hours, but the other half is still there.
3 to 4 days might be reasonable to expect it to be cleared.
If you are thinking in terms of a drug test, I would not trust these #s to show you clear. It may be found in even smaller amounts. ...Read more
It stops working as: Well as it used to. Virtually anybody who takes opioid drugs on a regular basis will develop tolerance - it is part of the physical nature of the drug and its interaction with our receptors. This is why opioid should virtually NEVER be the only thing done for pain. Many other modalities, including physical treatments like heat, ultrasound, acupuncture, massage, TENS units etc should be used too ...Read more

I had a prescribed percocet at 9am and thinking it was 1:00 when it was only 11am I took another.?

Oxycodone is an opioid pain medication and acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever which increases the effects of oxycodone. This drug is used for moderate to severe pain. Abuse of this drug can cause addiction, overdose or even death. Percocet is not a blood thinning drug. ...Read more
No: You could die. You could fall asleep and stop breathing. You could pass out and vomit and inhale the contents of your stomach into your lungs, called aspiration pneumonia.
