Depends: Regular pepto contains Bismuth Subsalicylate which is an Aspirin product linked to liver failure and brain damage in kids, a syndrome called reye syndrome. Well...: It isn't horrible, but pepto bismol (bismuth subsalicylate) contains salicylate (aspirin) so you can get ringing of your ears, vertigo. Long term use also can make your tongue black and your stools grayish black. (It goes away when you stop taking it) I'm more concerned about why you need to take it for 5 days.
