Sometimes the: Ovaries cannot be visualized on TV ultrasound due to their position or interposed bowel loops. If that is the case, they might be visualized on a transabdominal pelvic ultrasound. If they still can't be visualized, pelvic MRI might be definitive.

Medical treatments: There are non surgical treatments such mirena, (levonorgestrel) hormones and Lupron that can be used to avoid hysterectomy, even if they are not always successful. If your gyn is not interested in discussing these, consider seeking out a second opinion.

I'm having bad pelvic pain. How can a little uterus lead to so much pain?

Exam: The uterus may be the source of the pain or there may be other causes for your difficulties. I'd suggest a complete gynecologic exam and possible medical imaging to help you find the source for your pain. If these are normal other causes of pelvic pain needd to be explored.

Pelvic pain left side with my uterus and ovaries as dr thinks it could be a cyst, but if it is not, what else could cause this pain on the lower left side?

Endometriosis: Endometriosis affects mostly the ovary, on the uterus or the fallopian tubes. Although it can only be diagnosed surgically, if it is inside the ovary, you may be able to see it with a pelvic ultrasound. Patients report painful menstrual cycles and it can cause problems with getting pregnant by affecting the eggs.

I'm having really bad pelvic pain it feels like my uterus is stretching my period is 6 days late?

Do a urine test: Buy a home urine pregnancy test (very cheap at dollar stores) and follow its directions. If you are having severe pain that is not relieved with over the counter pain relievers such as Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen) (safe even if you are pregnant), then go to your doctor or an er for evaluation.

I am taking bc pills continuously for endometriosis and have been having increased pelvic pain. The sonogram shows heterogenous uterus with 8mm endometrium? What is next step?

I am taking bc pills continuously for endometriosis and have been having increased pelvic pain. The sonogram shows heterogenous uterus with 8mm endometrium? What is next step?

Adenomyosis?: It's possible the heterogeneous uterus that was shown on ultrasound is adenomyosis. This is when there are glands in the uterus itself (similar to endometriosis inside the uterine muscle- the myometrium). Ask your doc about a "gnrh agonist" like Depo-Provera lupron (leuprolide). This would simulate menopause, but it can also help greatly with the pain of endometriosis or adenomyosis. You may need a hysterectomy if bad.

Having pelvic pain, had hysterectomy, have no uterus, ovaries, tubes nor cervix. Normal bowel movement and urinate just find. Could it be cancer. Help?

Having pelvic pain, had hysterectomy, have no uterus, ovaries, tubes nor cervix. Normal bowel movement and urinate just find. Could it be cancer. Help?

Go back to your doct: The doctor who operated on you should be consulted again, so that he/she can address your pain problem and advice you about treatment. I doubt that you can develop cancer so soon after an operation like you have had done recently.

My IUD is stuck in my uterus and im wondering if I should wait until th 17th of january for them to try to remove it again since they tried on thursday I have been having pelvic pain and been bleeding pretty heavy. What are the risks if I wait that long?

There: There isn't any risk of waiting to have it removed. The only question is "can you handle the pain/cramping for the next 3 weeks? " if the bleeding doesn't slow down and you start feeling dizzy or lightheaded you may need to have your blood checked to see if you're anemic. Some doctors will attempt removal in the office after injecting the cervical area to lessen the pain. Others will take you to the operating room for removal. The copper style iud is known to be problematic during removal.

What are the causes of an enlarged uterus with a heterogeneous texture? Measuring at 128×40×80mm. Cyst on cervix also. Had pelvic pain 3 years.

Uterus: By the measurements your uterus is certainly enlarged. One cause is fibroid tumors. These are easily seen on ultrasound and would have been mentioned on your report. The combination of the pain and the enlargement suggests that you might have adenomyosis, a non-cancerous condition. An MRI might be helpful in diagnosing this.

Haven't started my period in 14 days and having pelvic pain and low adominal pain in the uterus whts the problem?

Irregular periods: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections & hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do a home pregnancy test. There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

For the past 6 days I have had chronic pelvic pain, nausea, back pain, and spotting. Went to the dr, said I had deviated uterus. Ideas of what causing?

Doubt: Deviated - verted, flexed, or rotated uterus is not, repeat not a cause of pelvic pain. Don't know what's causing the pain, but see if your doc can help you more.
