Pelvic kidney & preg: It is relevant to know if the pelvic kidney functions normally, if it gets infected easily, or if its ureter refluxes or has strictures. UTI is more common in any pregnancy. Get a complete study: I am assuming that your daughter had the pelvic kidney diagnosed by prenatal ultrasound. This is an anomaly of the genitourinary system - not the reproductive system. You may see associated uterine anomalies but most often the pelvic kidney is isolated. I suggest you complete the ultrasound after she is born and look for a uterus and ovaries.
