See your Dr.: Hard to give a specific answer as the pelvic area is actually fairly large with a number of possibilities that may cause swelling. I would recommend seeing your dr. And having a good exam. Impossible to give you a good answer in this kind of forum. Good luck. ...Read more

Abdominal pains radiating into vaginal area, pelvic, lower back, hips, tender breast and upper legs 1 year after novasure procedure. No periods for a year?
Maybe: It depends upon where the soft tissue mass is. Transvaginal or pelvic ultrasound is great for evaluating the uterus, ovaries, bladder, and even the appendix (when it's inflamed). But it's not a great modality to evaluate intestinal, muscle, or fat masses. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Go see ur Family Doc: Unfortunately, pelvic area is pretty vague as far as lumps go so it's best that you see your Family Doc for evaluation. Perhaps you have a urinary tract infection (either bladder or kidney) or a sexually transmitted disease (where lump represents swollen gland). Usually these infections lead to painful perhaps even frequent urgent urination. Bottom line, go see your Family Doc, GYN or Planned Pare ...Read more

Severe burning string-like pain low right pubic area 65 year-old female ... Ruining my life. Docs cannot find source with mris, x-rays, scans, exams?
Experiment: It isn't always necessary to have a precise imaging diagnosis; i would consider trying out some various treatments in the hope you come across something that works. IUD in lower uterine seg. @last U/S. Feeling strange, pelvic tugging, palpable uterus (I think: fist sized swelling mid pubic region), nausea. ?
What's your question: Presumably you're wondering if you're pregnant. If so, take a home pregnancy test. While IUDs are amazingly effective, partly b/c they take out human variable when it comes to adherence, they're not infallible. So if you're worried about possible pregnancy, home pregnancy tests are inexpensive, available w/o prescription, and highly accurate (just as good as those in doctor's office). ...Read more

30y/o F. Diagnosed with uterine didelphys on Ct and US. Having burning pain rt mid back area. Urine normal. Wouldn't a kidney abnormally show on CT?

Just had (2hrs) transvaginal ultrasound to look at an ovarian cyst. Now have pain from pelvic area radiating up to abdomen & bloating. Should I be worr?
Possibly: How big is the cyst? What are its characteristics? If a cyst suddenly ruptures, then it's possible to have some pain which will pass with some time and ibuprofen/advil. If the pain persists and worsens, see a doctor because it could be hemorrhagic (bleeding). Good luck! Consider birth control pills to prevent ovarian cysts from forming. ...Read more
What can cause severe pain through sacral & coccyx for over a year? Pelvic MRI only shows edema through area, would pelvic MRI show spine/nerve roots?
Several causes: Was there any trauma to area prior to onset? If so, a dystonia would be one of the things to consider. This could be confirmed with an EMG of pelvic floor muscles. You would need to consult with an EMG guru, and botox could potentially be a treatment. Other things to consider: coccydinia if pain when cleaning up after having a bowel movement. Physical therapy could be tried or a nerve block. ...Read more
