Pelvic Area Pictures Female
Did a pelvic ultrasound this week the results show all the parts but no picture of the right ovary and its the part that hurts. Should I do it again?
Do you still have your appendix? The ovaries don't usually hurt as much as they get blamed for. I would think more about your uterus having a spasm with pain radiating to your right side, or appendix, colon spasm, abdominal wall spasm.
If a thorough physical examination can't delineate the source of the pain, you may need a ct scan, but I wouldn't have high hopes it would give a specific answer. Read more

If there was a tumor they would have likely seen in on ultrasound. If your ovaries do not go down in size then they may order a ct scan (cat scan) of your pelvis to get a better look at your ovaries. Depending on the results additional testing will be ordered.
Were you on birth control pills or hormones or any other supplements recently? If so that may be to blame. Lastly, it sounds like your doctor (s) are doing the appropriate work up. Make sure you get an explanation as to why your ovaries were/are enlarged.
Best of luck. Read more

Wow...you're special: To have not skipped a period in perhaps 35+ years of menstrual life is amazing! You're super normal! Now you are experiencing some not atypical perimenopausal symptoms. HOWEVER, the fact that the cramps have persisted all month is of some concern. Visit your doctor and consider an ultrasound examination of the pelvis for reassurance. Read more
