Doubt it: A woman should eat a balanced, healthy diet over the course of each week. Daily ingestion of cow ovaries have not typically been part of the normal human diet, over the past millennia. Thus, nobody knows whether or not there are dangers to daily cow ovaries. Buyer beware; user beware. ...Read more

I'm interested in buying Bovine Ovary pills. I have done a little research on it and read that it causes depression. Is this so?
See below: What do you expect these pills to do for you? These will not treat any illness and the only effect these will have would be to lighten your wallet. For good health - If you miss your period by 4-5 days, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more
Because of health risks for humans bovine growth hormone is banned in canada, japan, australia, and all 25 countries of the european union?
No health risk: Bovine GH is given to cows to increase their milk production. It has no activity in humans and would be destroyed in our digestive tract. Opposition to its use is more political than scientific ...Read more
Wil taking a colostrum (bovine pre milk) suppliment have a negative effect if im also taking azapress 50mg (immune suppresent)?
I had AVR surgery 9 months ago. Valve was replaced with a bovine valve. The past several days I have had mild chest discomfort periodically. Tonight?
Not likely: I think there is probably no brain or nerve tissue in this. Also I think there has been no mad cow disease in USA in recent years. However, the epidemic among British milk cows was traced to bone meal and meat added to their feed. Prions tend to survive heating. Since the US govt does not regulate these supplements you cannot know exactly how it was made. Why take this useless supplement, anyway? ...Read more
Usually not : There is a high degree of cross reaction between cow, sheep and goat milk so they all should be avoided in cow milk allergic individuals. There is less likelihood of reaction to horse or camel milk. Consult an allergist for further diagnosis and treatment. ...Read more

Tof corrected 20 years back, now pulmonary valve to be replaced with bovine valve. Is there any other option. Which is the best valve option.
Talk to your doctor: This is the role your doctor should be taking- talk to you about the pros and cons on different options. If you don't trust his judgment, then you need to get a second opinion. For example, if you were a muslim, then a pork valve would not be an option for you regardless how good it may be. ...Read more
Why is it that the human body does not reject bovine or pig heart valves. Can cells from different animals survive in humans?
Medical technology: The valves are derived from pig or bovine but are treated in a laboratory to remove the antigens that would cause a reaction against them in a human body. Medical technology is amazing! ...Read more
Can taking bovine colostrum increase plasma immunoglobulin levels, thereby masking an underlying immunoglobulin deficiency by altering blood tests?
Unlikely: Very thoughtful idea. Unfortunately, the bovine immunoglobins are too large to be absorbed from the intestine and would be digested by stomach and intestinal juices and enzymes. With use you would be providing body with raw materials for making your own immunoglobulins, but at a cost. Any "complete" proteins from eggs or milk could provide the same protein precursors and support good health. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Years ago I had an incidental finding of a bovine arch, I read that it can be a risk factor for TAA, should I tell my pcp about it, or is it nothing to worry about? she has record access but I doubt shes seen it.
feeling is that you should communicate EVERYTHING you are "concerned" about with your PCP!! Don't "assume" that because something is in your records it will be "noticed"!! In the meantime the anomaly you have is "statistically" associated but YOU ARE NOT A STATISTIC so NOT TO WORRY!
Hope this is helpful!

Is bovine collagen a viable nerve regeneration option for nerve damage due to wisdom tooth extraction? Heard incredible things about it.

Rotavirus, and varicella vaccines contain fetal bovine serum. dtap, hebb, ipv, and typhoid vaccines contain bovine casein. what can vegans do?
Overall picture best: While there is discussion in the vegan community about vaccines containing animal products, most people agree that there are some situations where there is no "vegan" alternative, and it is OK to do the "non-vegan" thing. This is one of them. The benefit of vaccines is proven. They are worth it. ...Read more
