Emollients: I'm sure your husband has tried just about everything over the counter including moisterizers and emollients like eucerin cream or aquaphor. There might be something else going on other than just dry skin. We often see fungal infections on the hands, especially if someone wears gloves a lot (like athletes foot for the hands). Your palm problem may be due to irritation from scented or antibacterial soaps especially if you wash you hands often. Can be: It could also just be dry skin. The fact it is excessive kind of implies to me that you are unable to control the condition to your liking. Therefore, I wold recommend a visit to the dermatologist who likely will be able to help solve your problem or keep it at bay and minimize it.
