Multiple meds safe?: U mention that ur doc did prescribe all of the meds you've been instructed to take, so s/he knows of each med ur taking, and must feel that adding the newest med - wellbutrin, (bupropion) is both safe & in ur best interest. The meds you mentioned are frequently used in concert & have no interactions. The best person to discuss risks & benefits of ur med regimen with is ur doc. Muscle relaxant: Benzodiazepines like Ativan (lorazepam) don't treat pain directly. But they can help 2 other ways: by decreasing the mental suffering associated with pain, and by helping muscles relax. Remember that like other benzos, Ativan is habit-forming if used daily and consistently over time; once tolerance develops it can be hard to stop. It's quite safe if used occasionally at low doses. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Benzodiazepine: Valium is in the class of benzodiazepine and can be safe, but can be addicting. Everyone reacts to different medications in different ways, so it is impossible to say one medication is better than the other in an individuals case. Discuss with your dr. What the best meds would be for you, as "benzos" are best used on an "as needed only" bases in my opinion. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Is it OK to take PRAZOSIN HCL 5MG with EFFEXOR (venlafaxine) XR 75MG, PENICILLIN VK 500MG, IBUPROFEN 400MG, HYDROXYZINE PAM 50MG VIT, HYDROCODONE-ACETAMINOPHEN 5?
Not OK: Haven't we met before over this question? Why is a 17 y.o. taking ALL that medication? What's going on? I assume the Penicillin's temporary? But HYDROCODONE+ Ibuprofen? What type of pains need all that @ your age? Prazosin for.....nightmares? And hydroxyzine for itching or nausea? Obviously, someone thinks you NEED all this but you asked the question & I'm giving an opinion. NOT OK is what I say. ...Read more

Many causes, ask doc: There are a lot of reasons for restless legs. One to consider is that medications such as risperidone and sertraline (Risperdal and Zoloft) can cause "akathisia", a movement disorder characterized by a feeling of inner restlessness and a compelling need to be in constant motion. Whatever the cause, speak to the prescriber about it. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My friend mmt(methadone) dr(not psychiatrist)rx him citalopram&s-valporate for uni-p mdd, its good rx?My psych advices bupropion on phone.Best regards.
Interesting issues: If you feel your friend needs to see an actual psychiatrist, you can encourage him or her to do so. If by "psych" you mean psychiatrist, you're putting him/her in an awkward position by asking for some kind of second-guessing on a patient s/he hasn't seen. If the "psych" (could also mean psychologist) suggests med changes anyway, it's ill-informed. His/her comments could also be misinterpreted. ...Read more
any OTC: If you tolerate clonazepam, then i think any over the counter decongestant would be ok to try. The hardest part is looking through the aisle with cold and allergy meds to find just the decongestant, not a combination of different products together--don't hesitate to ask your pharmacist for help. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
