Depends: Depending on what problems you have, will depend on if you will get better, but generally speaking, any time you can take better care of yourself, you should improve from an overall health standpoint. Keep seeing the dr. For evaluations and get well. Best wishes. ...Read more

Depends: Any calorie intake in excess of what you burn off daily will help you add weight. Ensure or Pediasure are balanced supplements that can do this. However, simply eating more can just add fat, not lean muscle which is what most would prefer, An exercise routine with mixed cardio and resistance exercise can enable muscle growth. ...Read more
Exercise: LDL can be lowered with diet and exercise. At that level, without any other medical problems, nonsmoking, no family members with heart disease, it is not unreasonable to do a trial of diet and exercise, but it will take a lot of work. If you have any other issues or family with heart disease, medication is warranted. Diet should be low carb, exercise should be cardio 4-5x/week. ...Read more
Does sleep deprivation cause perm. Damage? Last yr I slept typically 6-7 hours, and even went without sleep for 3 separate nights.
I think u will be OK: Sleep deprivation can up regulate some genes and down regulate others. Poor sleep can cause cognitive impairment, high blood pressure and increase the risk for stroke and heart disease. It can also cause Insulin resistance and increase in a hunger hormone which can cause wgt gain. Some of these effects may be permanent; however, they can be mitigated w/ adequate rest. Your sleep loss is minimal. ...Read more
I have discomfort after having a crown placed on #14 (after rct). I think floss may have been trapped during the perm cementing, is this possible?
Cementation issue?: Perhaps you are referring to retraction cord (used to retract gum tissue and keep the area dry) rather than dental floss. Is it possible it was trapped during the cementation process? Yes. I suggest you return to the dentist to have the area evaluated and any problems corrected. It may just need an adjustment or be temporarily sore and resolve on its own but should still be checked out. ...Read more
Temp crown fell off twice every 5-7 days. I'm scheduled to put on perm crown this monday. Will my perm crown be prone to fall off like the temp ones?
Temporary crowns by their very nature are designed to come off easily and the cement (adhesive) used is a softer material.
Temporary crowns can "flex" during chewing and the "bite" may not be level, which could cause them to dislodge.
Final crowns, do not "flex" and the cement is stronger. But, this may occur especially on teeth that are very short, or patients who clench or grind their teeth. ...Read more

My 11 year old has scabbies, after she's showered and I've applied the perm, will it cause any problems if not washed off within 14hrs. What's the abs?
Better to wash off: It is better to wash of under 14 hours. It is best to apply before bed and then shower off in the morning. In addition, you should wash all her pajamas/bed cloths, the bed sheets and pillow cases after she wakes and showers. A normal wash cycle for the cloths and sheets is fine. It is very important to repeat this two weeks after the first treatment. ...Read more

Other supplement: At your age if you want to use a supplement I'd choose one for adults such as Ensure or Boost. Of course, there is also just the old upping your caloric intake every day by 20%. Also, has doctor checked things like your thyroid function to make sure that's not your problem? Sounds like time to discuss concern with doctor and a good dietician! ...Read more
