Are there any programs in u.S. To help young adult aspbergers patients master skills for healthy living? Health, socialization, self care, work, etc?
Hard to Say...: The "best" is relative and tends to be "that which works best for you." that said, I have had wonderful success using the p90x and related in-home dvds and think that after medical clearance they are a serious option. However, training responsibly is critical to avoid injury. Check them out! ...Read more
Elder safety: If you are asking about fall prevention, then it is not technology that helps. What are doctor-recommended strategies that pediatricians teach children to maintain a healthy lifestyle?
Healthy Kids: I usually discuss diet, sleep, and exercise at each well visit. I stress the importance of 3 meals a day and lots of fruits and veggies. I discourage soda and juice as well as unhealthy snacks. I also recommend approx 45 min-1 hour of exercise every other day to every day. I ask teens to try to get a minimum of 8 hours of sleep a night. Most of all, a doctor needs to spend time with you... ...Read more
