My baby is 2months. She coughs but doesn't have a fever. Her pediatrician said her lungs are clear&fine. She's still coughing!? Does Vicks vapor work?
Dry cough: At 2mo the primary cause of dry cough are irritants. House dust, fragrance, perfumes, detergent or cleaning products all leave scents that don't bother adults but irritate a babies nose & airway. A good nasal clean out with saline can remove much of this irritant load, but removing the offending irritants from babies life helps more in the long run.Vicks would likely make her worse. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My 5 week old cries way to much, which I think is colic. Any advice? the pediatrician said mylicon but does it work?

If breast feeding, there are many dietary changes for mom yo try. If formula fed there are multiple different formula options that can be tried. ...Read more

8y/o son has trace amounts of blood and protein on urinalysis no other symptoms. Father has IGA. Pediatrician not concerned. Further work up needed?
Repeat test: your pediatrician is likely correct given the trace findings. However it is probably a good idea to repeat the test in another 30 days since it is inexpensive and non-invasive. ...Read more
My 15 yr old had an ultrsound & blood work and now the pediatrician wants her to see a obgyn oncologist at a children hospital. Is he thinking cancer?
Possibly: Without knowing the results of the tests, I am guessing about your daughter. The ultrasound would allow the ovaries to be visualized. The blood tests would possibly look for hormone markers (alpha-fetoprotein and beta human Chorionic Gonadotropin that would be potential tumor markers for an ovarian germ cell tumor. Possibilities include ovarian cysts, and benign and malignant ovarian tumors. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
