I have seriously painful periods. Sometimes so bad i can't work my back legs and stomach hurt severely bad. I clot the size of quarters. Normal?

Not normal: Severe dysmenorrhea (painful periods) is not uncommon, however it is certainly not normal either, and then add on the large clots you pass, that adds to an underlying process that needs to be further investigated. I been having painful periods that come and go and my doctor says that it could be endometriosis could it be something else?

Hypermobility: 23y w. "painful periods" & doctor suggests "endometriosis", EM, a theoretical disorder. Women w. Hypemobility Syndrome oft have PMS/PMD; as Relaxin hormone of menses further loosens pelvic joints causing painful ligament stretch. I have seen: "EM" get laparoscopy, LS, "worsen EM", get second LS, "worsen EM", get hysterectomy. Each invasion begets adhesions. Is "EM pain" IBS? Is "EM" iatrogenic? ...Read more
