Not clear question: Don't know what "regestrone" or "HSG" is. Do you mean progesterone? Do you mean HCG? Whatever, you need to take Metformin on regular basis. It will not block your periods. In fact, it may help normalize your cycle. Cycling progesterone, however, will help. You may also be hypothyroid. See Dr. Broda Barnes' book, Hypothyroidism, the Unsuspected Illness. Metformin: Metformin generally doesn't cause hypoglycemia (blood sugar below 60). Sometimes when the blood sugar spikes sharply upward and then drops to normal quickly, symptoms similar to hypoglycemia can occur. The history of PCOS: Raises a red flag? Did you need to use fertility medications to conceive (eg Clomiphene or injectables, letrozole)? You should see a reprooductive endocrinologist about this becuase its been >6mos. Also having gone this long without a period would warrant investigation of your uterine lining and the use of Progesterone for a withdrawal bleed.
