Lying: is a bad habit, PERHAPS pathological or perhaps not. Break the cycle by stopping yourself mid-sentence when you become aware of what you are doing. If the lie is out, tell the person you exaggerated. See a mental health professional to see the extent of this and if treatment is needed. Congrats on being aware of this. If the accuser is a: pathological liar then it's called Projection. If the accused is a pathological liar then it's the truth. Check out the topic w/a trusted friend or relative to see if the accuser is accurate and see a mental health professional to change it. No shortcuts: Pathological lying has many factors which contribute to it. There are reasons but you have to face them. Looking for a quick fix or medication is probably not the best answer.
