Too tight!: Most likely, swelling in ankle is due to wearing your knee brace too tight. See if you can wear it a bit looser. Discuss w/your doctor to determine your risk for coincidental clot development ie deep vein thrombosis or DVT (less likely). ...Read more

As a young female-: -U usually wear the brace +|- 6 weeks. But the reason 4 the dislocation is mal-alignment,& this still exists & is less stable now that U had a dislocation or subluxation.
