Fine: Several foods can be more "non-digestible" than others, for example the 'skin' of certain food, such as tomatoes or corn classically, which can then be seen in the stool. This is a normal occurrence. Expect you stools to soon turn back to their normal consistency as your diet dictates. Best wishes.

What is the cause of constipation?

What is the cause of constipation?

Many causes: As simple as not enough roughage and water or more complex with undiagnosed food allergens or candida/abn bacterial overgrowth. Go to a4m.Com and use physician locator to find a local functional medicine doctor to help you diagnose and fix the underlying problem (s) and give you relief. To start, add in a daily multi-strain probiotic like "florajen 3" and some magnesium oxide to get things moving.

What are main causes of constipation?

What are main causes of constipation?

Constipation: Can occur due to low fiber&water content in the diet. These help the intestines move bulk along and keep the stool soft. Also, ppl who hold their bm until they are in the comfort of their own home are at risk of hard stools. "holding it" desensitizes the nerves of the rectum to the stretch which normally signals the time for a bm. As the stool sits in the rectum, it becomes dehydrated and hard.

Constipation causes toxins to build up?

Probably true: But that doesn't mean you need to "de-toxify" just correct the constipation by eating and drinking properly and having daily bm's will clear the toxins the way the colon was designed to do.

What goes into your: Mouth is a major contributor for constipation. Stay well hydrated (at least 8 - 8 ounces glasses of water per day). Try to get in 5 servings of vegetables and 4 servings of fruit per day – get that fiber in. Stay physically active if possible. There are a number of over the counter laxatives that can be taken orally to help pass retained fecal matter.

Can kalms cause constipation?

Can kalms cause constipation?

Kalms: Kalms is valerian root extract used to help reduce the effects of stress. It should not cause constipation, but also won't really do anything to help with constipation in my experience. Magnesium added to this may be quite helpful.

Do bananas cause constipation?

Do bananas cause constipation?

They can: I often use bananas as a natural therapy in infants to firm up their runny poo. Along with pasta, apples, bread & some cheeses, these foods tend to slow the stool as it moves thru the intestines. The effect tends to be volume related, so a little may not constipate while a lot may.

Can stress cause constipation?

Can stress cause constipation?

Stress constipation: Stress can definitely cause constipation. An anal fissure can make the constipation even worse by causing the internal sphincter to tense, which makes it hard to defacate. Pain and blood-streaked french fry- like stool results. It is painful and a vicious circle. Surgical treatment of the fissure may help as may steroid suppositories. I don't know of any psychotherapy studies on these dynamics.

Can granola cause constipation?

Can granola cause constipation?

Hard to Say: Many foods can contribute to constipation. Typically the nuts, grains, and dried fruit in many granolas should help maintain regular stools, but this requires plenty of water intake. Even with high-fiber foods, inadequate fluids can cause constipation to occur. That said, examining diet, fluids, and exercise overall, rather than a single component, will yield the most complete answer.
