I've an almost constant urge to pass stools. Usually a very small amount loose or soft stools, or nothing at all is passed. I also get terrible pain in my upper abdomen after eating anything. Ibs?
IBS: The constant urge school sounds like ibs. The pain in your upper abdomen could be ibs, but I would also wonder if it represents something along the of gastritis or an ulcer. Other possibilities are ulcerative colitis or crohn's disease but you are not passing any blood or mucus so I doubt that the latter two are the case. Other causes of left-sided abdominal pain can be diverticulitis (from little loops on the bowel that get inflammed), or pain with the pancreas, though that is usually higher up in the abdomen. A patient should be evaluated if they have persistent abdominal pain, vomiting, or fever associated with their pain. ...Read more
