Yes mild form: Erythema infectiosum , caused by human paravirus 19 ( animal paravirus 19 will not infect humans ), erythematious rash, on face looks like ' slapped cheek' face , mostly self limiting contagious disease. Not really: People who get parvovirus b19 infection can have no symptoms or can get sick. Kids get a rash, mild fever, and/or mild cold symptoms. Adults get a rash, some joint aches, and/or joint swelling. Infected persons, with or without symptoms, recover and have immunity against re-infection. Complications can be seen in persons with chronic anemia or immunosuppression, and occasionally in pregnant women. ...Read more

Mgt: Most cases resolve without any treatment. If you notice any symptoms that continue or recur such as joint pain, paleness of the skin, respiratory problems, an appointment with your PCP is advised. No.: Depite classic features of sle, your serologies suggest it. Low platelets or thrombocytopenia is a major feature of sle. But a parvo b19 infection would not cause the abnormal tests you have.I would place you on hydroxychloroquine, nonethless, to see if your tests improve. ...Read more

Hyperthyroidism: Hi. Your tests show hyperthyroidism. Maybe it's a temporary thyroiditis or maybe it's Graves' disease (unlikely to be a toxic multi nodular with those numbers). Discuss a plan with your doctor to see what the cause is (that will determine what you do about it); you will probably be referred to an endocrinologist. Good luck! ...Read more
