Hopefully not: If you get pid it is from abnormal bacteria getting into the uterus and fallopian tubes like form gonorrhea or chlamydia which you would contact from having sex with a partner who is carrying the bacteria, please see your gyn, if you would be+ hopefully not , for one of those, or other bacteria can cause pid if it is an std you would have to get it from someone. ...Read more

A loaded question: When you don't have pain/fever, then it is ok for the physical relation. But, is it safe? If the pid is caused by a sexually transmitted infection such as gonorrhea/chlamydia and your partner has not been treated, then i would not recommend it, even with condom. Condom use reduces chances of std, but not 100%. Follow-up with your doc for the test result and get treated completely. Good luck. ...Read more

Excellent therapy: You were both treated correcty and I do recommend retesting again within 1-2 months, if monogomous; howeverm if there are multiple sexual partners/unprotected intercourse, these diseasesas can recur- no guarantee. ...Read more

You DID have an STD: Simple answer, you did have an std and still do. Likely gonorrhea and/or chlamydia. For both infections, it's not uncommon to be infected, but not have obvious symptoms. That is why testing often is so important! ...Read more

Are you sure?: Most cases of pid are related std's -- usually chlamydia and gonorrhea. At the very least your partner should go for a complete exam and std check. Be smart and safe. Avoid intercourse until he shows you his test results. Dont take chances. ...Read more
