Numbness in left hand, bottom part of arm, bottom part of leg and left side of face.Mri showed white spots on brain, LP was negative for ms.
MS or not MS?: Iit is hard to find the cause of a symptom of tingling. The changes on your MRI could be related to your symptoms. When the LP is negative, it does not mean you do not have MS, but one must consider other causes, such as a virus of some kind, or other medical illnesses. It may help you to have some symptomatic treatment of your symptoms, maybe a nerve conduction study and a follow up mri. ...Read more

My girlfriend has pain from her shoulder down to her left hand, no numbness, no chest pain she is 53. What can it be?
Could be cardiac: It could be many things, among them is angina from her heart. The crux of the decision to present emergently for chest pain should be based off the pre-test probability of how likely it is that her discomfort is from her heart. It depends on her risk factors really. It's less to be cardiac but is still possibly. Musculoskeletal is other possibility, or pinched nerve. ...Read more

Unlyk my right hand, my left hand is weaker. Can't grip/hold things tighter. I tried using a stress ball to exercise my hand but i felt numbness. why?
Varies: It would be a little unusual in your age group, but carpal tunnel syndrome can cause weakness in the hand and numbness in the fingers. Direct pressure in the carpal tunnel, as is probably happening when you squeeze the ball can cause the symptoms if numbness you are describing. I would not hesitate to be seen. ...Read more
I have had numbness in the tip of my middle and ring finger on my left hand for a few weeks. It's a constant numbness, even present when I'm relaxing?
Numbness: Numbness of fingers can be due to pinching of nerves at the wrist such as seen in carpal tunnel syndrome. Since only the very tips of two fingers are involved, a localized neuropathy may be the cause. At this point your symptoms are minor, but if they worsen or start to involve other regions of the hand, consult a hand SURGEON or neurologist for diagnosis and treatment. ...Read more
