If sure its Parotid: If the parotid gland intermittently swells and then resolves, especially if swells when seeing food, it is quite diagnostic for an obstruction in or more likely in the glands duct, called stenson's duct. It is called commonly a sialolith. Good luck!

Iam wake up with a parotid gland swelling and little pain in the morning is it hiv? Only in morning (10min) I don't have any other symptoms.

No: Parotid gland swelling by itself is not a sign of hiv. If it is indeed the parotid gland, and it intermittently swells, it could be an obstruction in the duct of the gland.

I believe I am suffering from parotid gland swelling it's very painful and noticeably swollen. I have no cold or flue symptoms. Should I go to ER?

Yes, you should: Get to a doctor because it could be parotitis or stone in Swensen's duct, especially if it is very painful. It could also be inflamed lymph node. Either way, you might need antibiotics to get better.

Could anybody suggest medicine for parotid gland infection swelling and how to clear gland duct stone with out operation?

Parotid stone: Make sure you are on antibiotics if there is swelling. Also stay well hydrated (drink plenty water), take NSAIDs like Ibuprofen or Naproxen scheduled doses for 1-2 weeks, and encourage daily salivation to get the gland working - hard lemon candy or lemon wedges 3 times per day.

I have a cyst on the left parotid gland nd I don't have any other systoms like dry mouth the only systoms I've is a swelling what does this mean?

I have a cyst on the left parotid gland nd I don't have any other systoms like dry mouth the only systoms I've is a swelling what does this mean?

Needs evaluation: 80% of parotid lesions are benign meaning 20% are malignant. Has there been an ultrasound or MRI to confirm it is a cyst? Cystic parotid lesions could be benign lymphoepithelial lesion, warthins tumor, etc. Some cysts may harbor cancers in the wall so suggest ultrasound and needle drainage of cyst and needle biopsy of any tumor in the wall. Suggest ENT eval. Dry mouth not always present

I going to ent nov7 I had just swelling on my parotid gland for 5 weeks doc didn't feel no Tumor he said more inflamed. My chances good of no cancer?

Parotid: Parotid cancers are not that common, but when they do, they invariably present as a distinct mass or tumor. Non-distinct swelling of the glands is typically infection or inflammation. Could also be vascular or lymphatic. I think your chances are pretty low for cancer based on what you have described. Wishing you the best with your ENT visit!
